Ball of Waxx

Ball of Waxx recording artists and DJs, John Kelley and Brian Golub, originally caught fire in the deserts of Southern California playing at Moontribe Full Moon gatherings. John built his name as a heavy hitter in the global DJ circuit, touring with Crystal Method and Orbital as their official DJ in the 1999 Community Service Tour. Likewise, Brian threw himself headlong into the techno underground and quickly developed a reputation as an eclectic mixmaster with both refined tastes and a wicked love for sonic mayhem.

Brian has released three Hard Desert Trance mix CDs and Psychotrance 2002 on Moonshine Music while John has released two highly acclaimed mix series, Funkydesertbreaks and High Desert Soundsystem, also on Moonshine.

Away from the dance floor, John and Brian have produced great downtempo tracks for Ball of Waxx which appear on the new compilation, “Groove Closet: Downtempo Bedroom Beats from Ball of Waxx”. In addition, both John and Brian have composed original music for Ball of Waxx for clients like Mattel, G4/Tech TV, King of the Hill, Disney, Paramount, Electronic Arts and THQ. Both tour as DJ’s constantly and are currently working on full-length artist releases with Ball of Waxx.
