Chris Rich

Chris Rich began to take an interest in sound recording while in his early 20s. In 1989, he transformed his hobby into a career, and spent two years working at Hollywood Sound. Having never received a formal education in engineering, Rich describes his next gig working as an assistant to producer/engineer Bill Schnee as his graduate school. During that time, he had the opportunity to work with Al Schmidt and numerous other renowned artists. Rich has since transitioned to freelance work, and has been engineering autonomously for the last 13 years, during which time he has worked with artists as diverse as Natalie Cole, Toto, George Benson, The Black Crowes, and Vinnie Colaiuta.
