Chuck Prada

Chuck Prada’s passion for percussion was fostered by his father from a very early age. He studied extensively under several master drummers, learning distinct ethnic styles and methods including Cuban and Brazilian. From this starting point, Prada went on to specialize in Congas, Timbales, Bongo and assorted Afro-Cuban hand percussion instruments.

Prada’s infectious groove has reached far beyond his native San Diego. Over the last three years, Prada has toured and/or record with contemporary artists Dr. Dre, the Black Eyed Peas and Nelly Furtado, as well as industry heavyweights Fred Wesley (The JBs), Phil Upchurch (Curtis Mayfield), Harvey Mason (Herbie Hancock) and Red Holloway (Jack McDoff).
