DJ Sugar Kid

Born in Puerto Rico, DJ Sugar Kid is considered by many in the latin industry, as one of the precursors of electronic music in Puerto Rico. With more than 300 remixes for local and international artists like Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Cristian Castro, Elvis Crespo, Olga Tañon, Manny Manuel, Gisselle, Celia Cruz and El Gran Combo de P.R., among others. In the beginning of the 90’s, he worked for several Clubs in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and became one of the most outstanding and talented Dj s of the country, creating mixes for recognized radio stations developing his unique digital multi edit technique which he called “HI-ENERGY Multi Edits” and which many new DJs of the Digital Era use like inspiration for their mixes. He is one of the very few Hybrid DJs/Remixers of the continent, which can create an impressive MegaMix in any musical style. His mixes have been listened in all America and Europe. You can also listen to his “HI-ENERGY Multi Edits” in the compilation of the successes NYC FREESTYLE MEGAMIX vol. 1,2,3,4. and also every day in Puerto Rico’s Radio Station, Reggaeton 94.

Internationally speaking, his mixes are listened in all America at ON FUEGO MIX SHOW of Daddy Yankee, who is the most important exponent of reggaeton worldwide, and which is transmitted in several states of the American Nation in an ABC presentation Radio Network in spanish. Also he is “sweetening” other latin american countries like Nicaragua, where the “Sugar Hit Mix” has become in only a few weeks, one of the most radio listeners’ choice. Nowadays, he makes international presentations with Daddy Yankee’s ON FIRE LIVE SHOW DJ team and also makes special presentations in different clubs and private parties around the island.
