Gustavo Cerati

Songwriter and solo artist, Gustavo Cerati first ascended to fame as the guitarist/vocalist for the famed argentinean rock band Soda Stereo. As a solo artist, Cerati’s work has always been well received by both fans of Soda Stereo and new listeners alike. His debut solo single, “Amor Amarillo,” which includes a subtle blend of acoustic and electronic elements, set the stage for future releases.

Following the 1997 break-up of Soda Stereo, Cerati concentrated full time on his work as a solo artist. His releases included 1999’s full-length album Whiff and his 2001 LP—the ambitious 11 Episodios Sinfónicos—which includes versions of his earlier hits reinterpreted by a 48-piece classical orchestra and recorded live.
