Jim Boggia

Philadelphia-born Jim Boggia is one of those rare people who knew from the start what he was going to do with his life. A guitarist since the age of five, Boggia got his start in the music industry working with artists such as Juliana Hatfield, Jill Sobule and Amanda Marshall. Laying down guitar tracks and playing live with such notable musicians gave Boggia a “trial-by-fire” education that would help him hone and refine his skills as a guitarist. With a wealth of session and stage work under his belt, Boggia set his sights on becoming an artist in his own right. Armed with a distinctive, melodic voice and a keen appreciation for the pop sensibility of the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and Brian Wilson, Boggia recorded his first record, Fidelity Is the Enemy, in 2001. The record, with its sweeping, almost cinematic tracks, showcased his considerable skills as a singer, songwriter and arranger. The record would go on to receive considerable acclaim both from the media as well as from a growing multitude of fans. Boggia is currently supporting his latest release, the 2005 LP Safe in Sound.
