Kevin Brandon

Ever since rap duo OutKast won multiple Grammy Awards for 2003’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below,” Kevin Brandon (a.k.a. “Brandino”) has become one of the busiest and most prominent bass guitarists of our time. In addition to performing on the OutKast album and working with producer Andre Benjamin, Brandino has worked with such artists as Brandy (Atlantic Records), J 1 (Capital Records), Jamiroquai (Sony Records) and Jesse McCartney (Hollywood Records). Brandino has also been recording a live concert album with his jazz trio, Brandino and Friends. Two solo records, “Brandino Live” and “Summertime,” are scheduled for release by the end of 2004. Continuing his work in television, Brandino recently contributed to the production of the 2004 TV Land Awards.

Brandino uses the M-Audio Ozone, Propellerhead Reason and Ableton Live. “With the M-Audio Ozone, my prayers were answered,” says Brandino. “Ive been using the PC platform since 1995 and it hasnt been easy in terms of music software.
